The Ulek Empire's collapse produced three successor factions, each claiming a different form of legitimacy:

  • Kingdom of Ulek — Prince Eltram Landing; legitimist council holding the throne for a sealed king
  • Ulek Empire (Theodor Crane) — Sandstone; usurper faction; see Theodor Crane

Interior Powers

  • The Five Kingdoms — aboriginal dwarves, forest elves, rancher humans, Terenei royalty, and the pirate crown of Highport; mutual non-aggression pact; one seat currently vacant
  • The Caligni — five matriarchal families in the Ancient Paths underground; preservationists; largely unknown to the surface world
